Evaluation

Picture
It seems to make sense to me at this stage to make a list of some of the different needs of the garden and how best we can fill those needs.

  1. Need for extra shade. The sun is so strong here pretty much all year round, and the undercover area does catch the sun at certain times of the day. This need could be filled with a fruit tree-or several- placed near the undercover area, and also around other parts of the garden, so long as they didn't obstruct the main central area.
  2. Need for food to be used in the kitchen. This will save the cafe money in ingredients whilst also creating a nice closed loop system, and a multifunctional aspect - food grown in the garden looks beautiful and attracts customers. They then eat the food, bringing in money, and the cafe also saves money on buying ingredients. The food is fresh as can be so tastes great. Local people also gain the advantage of seeing their food travel from garden to plate, so re-connecting with their food and the journey it makes to reach them.
