The diploma in permaculture design has been created by the Permaculture Association in order to regulate and train teachers in Permaculture design. The course runs for a minimum of two years, in which time I will complete around ten projects, each time running through a complete and conscious design pathway to reach well thought out and wonderful end designs, thus completing my diploma and moving on to a lifetime of making the world a better place.

Picture
My tutor and mentor throughout this journey is the most wonderful Richard Perkins, a highly ambitious and inspiring man. He has set out to create a supergang of diploma apprentices, by providing an incredibly supportive and organised structure for the next two years study. I feel supremely confident that with his knowledge, wisdom and pushiness, and with the combined enthusiasm and support of my new gang of amazing apprentices, we can only succeed..

Definitions of permaculture design
Permaculture design is a system of assembling conceptual, material, and strategic components in a pattern which functions to benefit life in all its forms. It seeks to provide a sustainable and secure place for living things on this earth.
 (Bill Mollison)

Permaculture encourages people to take responsibility for themselves, to gain more control of their lives and to take positive steps towards acheiving a sustainable future. It is not just for people with land, everyone can take part.
